# Automatic repair

Automatic repair runs the same fix as the Fix buttons in **Issues**, in the background, whenever an issue appears. A failed try is retried after 5 minutes, 30 minutes and 2 hours, up to the limit you set. Whatever it can't fix stays in **Issues**, with what happened.

## Settings

Open **Offloft → Settings → Checks & repair**.

- **Auto-repair problems.** On by default in Pro.
- **Tries before giving up.** 3 by default.

Some problems wait for you on purpose, such as a file that's missing everywhere, because only you have the original.
