Offload your WordPress media, and know it arrived.
Offloft offloads your media library to Cloudflare R2, Amazon S3 or any S3-compatible storage, and keeps your bucket in sync. It checks every file and every image size in your bucket before your site uses it. Anything unverified keeps loading from your server. With Pro, Offloft then removes local copies, so you get that space back on your hosting plan.
- Every image size verified
- New uploads sync automatically
- No database rewrite needed
- Free, with no file limit
Stop using your hosting plan as media storage.
Images, video and PDFs pile up on your server until your hosting plan runs out of room, and more room usually means a more expensive plan. Offload them to cloud storage built for files, and Offloft keeps your bucket in sync as you add, change and delete media.
- With the free plugin, your media offloads to your own bucket and loads from there. Local copies stay as a safety net, so your disk use stays the same.
- With Pro, local copies are removed once every file is verified, so the space on your server comes back.
- If your host charges for storage, or you need a bigger plan for the room, this can lower your bill. Your storage provider bills you separately, so compare the two.
- On your server
- Verified, waiting
- Removed, safe in your bucket
Offloft finds a missing file before it breaks an image.
An upload can finish while a thumbnail it needs is still missing. Offloft checks every file and every size in your bucket, and your site keeps loading anything unverified from your server. You see what's missing, with a fix, instead of hearing about it from a visitor.
Three ways it usually happens, and what Offloft does
A missing size.
A thumbnail never made it to the bucket. The full image uploaded; the 300 px size your theme uses didn't.
What Offloft does: Offloft checks every size and tells you which one is missing. Its fix creates the size if needed, uploads it and checks it.
A half-finished file.
A worker died halfway through a large file. The copy in the bucket is cut short at 60%.
What Offloft does: Offloft compares the bucket copy's size, so a short file doesn't pass. Your server keeps serving the file until one does.
A bad hour.
The provider timed out, uploads kept failing in the background, and nobody was told.
What Offloft does: Offloft pauses uploads without using up their retries, checks again by itself, and continues where it stopped.
Offloft checks the bucket, not just the upload.
Offloft doesn't count a file as done until it has checked the copy in your bucket: that it's there and the right size. Until then, your site keeps serving the local file.
- 01
It waits for WordPress to finish.
New uploads are sent only once WordPress has made every thumbnail size, so no size gets left behind.
Built for the bad days.
Timeouts, provider outages, a server clock that's off, a worker killed halfway through a big file. Offloft expects all of them.
Provider down
Offloft notices, pauses uploads without using up their retries, and checks again by itself. When the provider is back, it continues where it stopped.
Upload failed
The file stays on your server and your site keeps using it. Offloft retries with growing waits, and if it still can't, it tells you why and how to fix it.
Clock out of sync
Storage providers reject requests from a server whose clock is wrong. Offloft spots it and tells you exactly what to ask your host.
Changed a file
A replaced image is uploaded under a new name, so no browser or CDN keeps showing the old one.
See where every file is.
Offloft shows how many files are verified in the cloud, what needs attention and when everything was last checked. Every file, and every size, has its own status in the Media Library.
Bring your media back when you need to.
Normal offloading doesn't change your database. Offloft changes media URLs as pages are shown, so turning it off puts your site back on its local files. If Pro removed local copies, bring them back first, and clear any page cache afterwards. One button, "Bring everything back to my server", downloads every file again. Deleting an item in WordPress removes its files from your bucket, and you can turn that off too.

How is Offloft different from other offload plugins?
It checks every file in your bucket before your site uses it. You can recheck any time with the free plugin, or on a schedule with Pro. Problems show up on your dashboard, with a fix where one is possible.
Is the free version limited?
The free plugin includes the full offload workflow, with no file limit and no trial. It keeps your local files. Pro adds automatic setup, scheduled audits, repair, alerts and removal of local copies.
Will it free up space on my server?
With Pro, yes: it removes local copies once every file is verified in the cloud and a waiting period has passed. The free plugin keeps your local copies. Bring removed files back before you turn Offloft off, and keep your own backups of important media.
Will Offloft lower my hosting bill?
It can, if your host charges for storage or you'd otherwise need a bigger plan for the room. Pro is what frees up the space, by removing local copies once every file is verified. The free plugin keeps local copies, so your disk use stays the same. If your plan's price doesn't depend on disk space, your bill won't change. Your storage provider bills you separately, so compare the two.
Does Offloft keep my media in sync?
Yes, one way, from WordPress to your bucket. New uploads offload automatically, a changed file is uploaded under a new name, and deleting a media item also removes its files from your bucket unless you turn that off. A Re-sync job can sync your library again at any time. Files you add directly to your bucket don't appear in WordPress.
Does Offloft change my database?
Not for normal offloading. Media URLs are changed as pages are shown, so turning Offloft off returns your site to its local files. There's an optional Replace URLs tool for addresses saved in old content, with a preview and undo.
Which storage can I use?
Cloudflare R2, Amazon S3, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Akamai (Linode), Scaleway, Vultr, MinIO and any other S3-compatible storage. You bring your own bucket.
Does Offloft see my files or keys?
No. Your media goes only to the bucket you connect, and your keys are stored encrypted in your own database. The free plugin sends nothing to us.
Your media, in your bucket, checked.
Install Offloft free. Setup takes five steps, and nothing moves until the connection test passes.
