Serve your WordPress media from any S3-compatible storage.
Offloft works with any storage that speaks the S3 protocol, including Akamai (Linode), Scaleway, Vultr and your own MinIO server. It checks every file and image size in your bucket, and only then serves it. The connection test uses your real bucket, so you find out right away whether a provider works.
Why use another provider?
Most providers offer an S3-compatible interface, so you can keep media with the provider you already use, in the region you need.
Offloft has guides for Akamai (Linode), Scaleway, Vultr and MinIO, and a general guide for anything else.
We don't list prices here. Check each provider's own pricing page for storage, downloads and any minimum duration.
How Offloft works with your storage
Each file is uploaded, then checked in your bucket. Only after that does your site load it from the cloud. If a check fails, your site keeps using the local copy.
Setup in short
- Create a bucket in your provider's console.
- Create an access key for this bucket only.
- Enter the keys, the provider's endpoint and the public address in Offloft.
- Run the connection test and the delivery check.
Pro on your storage
Automatic setup covers Cloudflare R2 and Amazon S3 only, so you set this bucket up with the guide. Everything else in Pro works the same here: scheduled audits, automatic repair, alerts and safe removal of local copies.
Questions
How do I know if my provider works?
Run the connection test. It checks your credentials, finds the bucket, uploads a test file, reads it back and deletes it. The delivery check then tests the public address.
Can I use my own MinIO server?
Yes. The MinIO guide covers a user limited to one bucket, public downloads, and the https address visitors need.
What if my provider needs path-style addresses?
Turn that option on in Offloft. Your provider's documentation will say whether it's needed.
Your media, in your bucket, checked.
Install Offloft free. Setup takes five steps, and nothing moves until the connection test passes.
