Issues and fixes
An issue means a file isn't where it should be, or a check failed. Your site keeps working, because a file that isn't verified loads from your server. Open Offloft → Issues to see each problem in plain words, with a fix button where one is possible and the reason it happened.
Common issues
| Issue | What it means | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Upload keeps failing | Retries ran out for this file. It's still served from your server. | Upload it again |
| Cloud copy missing | The file isn't in your bucket anymore. Your site shows the copy from your server. | Upload it again |
| Cloud copy doesn't match | The copy in your bucket differs from the file on your server. | Upload it again |
| Missing from your server | The file is gone from your server. The cloud copy is fine, so your site still shows it. | Bring it back |
| Image size missing | WordPress never created that size, or another plugin removed it. | Offloft creates it, uploads it and checks it |
| File changed on server | The file changed after it was uploaded. | Upload it again |
| File missing everywhere | The image is gone from your server and the cloud. | Upload a replacement |
| Can't connect to your storage | The provider refused the saved keys. Uploads are paused. | Reconnect |
| Bucket not found | The bucket can't be found in your account. Uploads are paused. | Reconnect |
| Can't reach your storage | The provider isn't answering. Offloading continues by itself. | Nothing, usually |
| Background tasks aren't running | WordPress's scheduled tasks haven't run for a while. | Run now, or add a real cron job |
| Delivery check failed | Images can't load from your delivery address yet. | See delivery check fails |
Fix or ignore
Issues of the same kind can be fixed together. A fix shows its progress and moves the issue to Resolved once the file checks out. If an issue doesn't matter to you, click Ignore and give a reason.
From WP-CLI, wp offloft issues lists them and wp offloft fix fixes them. Offloft Pro can repair the common ones by itself.
